She was only Seventeen

Yesterday, I had lunch with my friends from high school. 

They have been my besties for long long years.

Their friend whom we went to same high school, she passed away when she was 17. I think she had brain tumor or something. (It was a colon cancer) One of my friend went to same middle school with her and was a good friend of her.  

We went to her grave to pay a visit.

I saw the curving on the grave and it showed the age she paseed.

She was so young. I almost burst to cry.

Since I was not in a same class with her, I didn’t know her and she was hospitalized after 1st semester at 10th grade. 

I remember one spring day, when I was 11th grade, our homeroom teacher came to class and announced that she had passed away.

Since she was a good friends of my very close friends and I heard she loved English too. I knew we could be a good friend even though I have never met her.

I have heard a lot about her.

Even in the hospital, how hard she was trying to study.

We all live the tomorrow s she wanted to live.

Indeed today is a gift.

I’ll cherish my days.
